Ever since PG&E was sued for causing the 1994 Trauner fire, they’ve been doing a better job of keeping trees off the power lines. The fact that we haven’t lost electricity yet is very impressive—and if we make it through today, it’ll be quite amazing.
Current conditions: high wind, sideways freezing rain. Chance of t-storms. It’s been raining since Monday and water is pouring out of the gopher holes. Lots of unhappy birds&bees out there. I am safe, warm, and grateful to be human.
