I am dying of stuffy-nose-itis. Slow death by irritation. Chinese sinus torture. Matter of hours before I explode, taking out all of Reno.

What Is Biodynamic Farming? from OrganicNation on Vimeo.

The OrganicNation.tv crew visits Frog Hill Farm in Port Townsend, Washington to talk with Sebastian Aguilar about biodynamic farming.

An often misunderstood farming technique due to it’s roots in Rudolph Steiner’s esoteric spiritual philosophy, biodynamic agriculture treats farms as unified organisms and emphasizes the relationship of soil, plants and animals. For more information, visit: http://www.biodynamics.com/

I LOVE MY FRIENDS DEPT.: San Francisco’s Answer to Westboro Baptist Church

Wow, guys, you really came through on the God Hates Fags thing.

Reed, Austin, Big Spoon, other people I have probably met or will meet soon: I pretty much love you for ever.

Friday Photos! One Year Ago: Humboldt/Siskiyou County Line

A year ago today, I was watching the first signs of spring: spots of color breaking through the greens, grays and rusty browns of a remote, nearly desolate part of northern California.

How Polyface brought my oomph back

A long, hard summer of travel had worn me out… but then I visited Polyface Farms, and my inner food-nerd woke right back up again.

God Hates Fags to picket Twitter HQ today

God Hates Fags members are coming to San Francisco, and they’re mad. The reason? “Filthy Jews”.

According to God Hates Fags (an outreach program of the Westboro Baptist Church), Jews are evil and eat their own babies.

Twitter, as a medium of mass communication, has “a duty to God just like every other person to serve God and to use ALL their resources in their service to him”. Apparently, “Obama’s about to take away any/all resources like Twitter to serve him and his Antichristic agenda”. To protest this, WBC members will be Tweeting as they picket.

Want to get involved? Make your own sign about what YOU think God hates. Then meet the WBC at one of their scheduled destinations:
